Bleiler Brings Home Espy Award for Best Female Action Sports Athlete
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (July 17, 2008) – K2 Snowboarding is proud to announce that International Pro Gretchen Bleiler has been honored with a prestigious ESPY Award for Best Female Action Sports Athlete. The event, broadcasted Sunday night from the Nokia Theatre on ESPN, gathered the top celebrities from sports and entertainment to commemorate the past year in sports by recognizing major sports achievements, reliving unforgettable moments and saluting the leading performers and performances.
Gretchen has been on an incredible roll this year taking home her third X-Games Gold, being the first female action sports athlete to be featured on the cover of ESPN the Magazine, and now is recognized as the number one female in action sports according to ESPN voters. But then again…it’s not all that surprising….she’s amazing….and now she’s amazing with an ESPY on her mantle.
