The Rome SDS Magic Bus Stops at Kingvale

Late last week, the Magic Bus finished up the sessions at Sierra-at-Tahoe and headed back to the north side of the lake and up Donner Pass to Kingvale. Kingvale is a true rider owned resort that caters to the park needs of shred from all over Tahoe area. The Kingvale crew rolled out the carpet for us and had the park and some key features dialed. They opened up to let the public in for the day and crowds came in strong. With about 50+ riders showing up to shred the park with the Rome team, hang out in the Magic Bus and enjoy some BBQ, it was a great session and the best stop yet. A big thanks to the folks at Sierra-at-Tahoe and Day, Durst and the crew at Kingvale for letting us come by.

The bus got back on the road Saturday morning after the Annual 050601 party Friday night in Tahoe. On our way to Sonora we hit our first bit of mechanical trouble and got stranded in Minden for the night until the auto parts shop opened up Sunday morning. After Johnny Paxson took the lead and installed the new starter we realized life would not go so smooth. All the connector wires were fried and we were stuck with no idea how to fix it and no repair shop open. Stranded in a parking lot for upwards of 12 plus hours an old friend of Rome and Out of Bounds Boards shop rolled in randomly and happened to be a mechanic. A few new wires and an hour later he had the bus back running. We were back on the road straight to Mammoth to get ready for the final stop.

A huge thanks to Jengas for showing up at the perfect time and helping the crew keep the Magic Bus Tour alive.

Check back for the update from Mammoth.
