DC Boards. Are they reliable?

I saw a couple of the new DC board like devin walsh's and i thought DC hasnt been in the buisness of making to many boards there new as of a couple years. Are they reliable, do i want to spend my money on that opposed to a forum or rome? if some one can spread the light and show me what is good about them that would be nice.
