The future of man kind.

Today I recived an E-mail that opened my eyes. The content was about gas prices and where the money is going. The photo's of Dubai and there construction of massive buildings, sports arenas, and indoor snowboard parks made me think about how much energy it was going to take to run all these things. I dunno. If your girl is an athletic chick that has a little experience on any type of board and learns fast then you won't have a problem and she should catch on quick like i did. But on the other hand if she isn't so athletic and probably has done one to no sports at all in her life then good luck and have A LOT of patience. I wouldn't know what to do either if you had the second case. haha.

Well Bob Hurley is one of the founders of Billabong, he started Hurley and sold it to Nike. Since most core skaters wouldn't touch Nike, they went and bought Hurley to get their foot in the door, and they did just that. Burton sells to big sporting goods companies like big 5 and sports chalet, they are about the quantity not quality, since Burton stamps out low quality snowboards they can sell them to big sporting goods stores and sell them for ridiculously low prices. I call it the Wal-Mart strategy. Don't get me wrong I'm grateful for what Jake Burton did for snowboarding as far as the growth and the legalization of snowboarding , but now Burton has become part of the problem. Its the same for the junk skateboards they sell at those stores. It is more important to preserve companies like Lib Tech, Arbor, Never Summer, Rome, and other companies that are owned by snowboarders. The point is that Nike and friends are buying valuable space on the shelves in small surf, snow, and skate shops, piggy - backing on the small companies that help build and legalize our sports. If you decide to buy Burton, Adidas, Nike etc, buy it at you local shops.
