there is a BlueBird sticker that says "Snowboarding: It was cooler when you hated us!". Isn't that the truth

barrett here. i have been riding a snowboard for over 25 years and we need to all keep it real. i have seen a lot of companies come and go..big and small.the only good thing about a bigger company is they have cash to keep it going. warranties and testing and everything to keep a company afloat cost money. we have a local company here in vermont and to be honest they try hard but still suck. it is hard to live near a factory and not want to work there because they can't put out a good product.

What about the merger of Burton and Al Merick Surf. They are huge now.

They have been in it from the begening Right?

Nike and Hurly merged too does that mean Bob Hurly is Bad?
He's still making sick clothes without the overhead coast.

Im starting to get confused, don't we want more for the sport.

ok so im not a big fan of nike thinking they can just step in and try to take all of these peoples sales away....
its really pretty weird that they are trying to get into this.

I definitely do not support the idea of a guy in a suit from Big 5 taking all of the business away from Leroy's or Wave Rave. Forget that.

On the other hand what about O-matic wanting to make their line more publicly available by selling their boards in major sporting goods stores?

I don't think they went through with it but that kind of raises the question what if we didn't get bought out... what if snowboarding companies just went to them?

What size lib tech?

Looking at getting the 154 or 157 2011 Lib Tech TRS or the 153 or 157 T-Rice C2 BTX. Not real sure what size though. I live on the east coast so I'm mainly on groomers and in the park. I'm about 5'10…
