im also 5'7 and im riding a 153. It works AMAZING for tricks in my opinion. I have used bigger boards before and i just prefer smaller ones because they are easier to control and maneuver.

yeah, especially if you don't weigh a lot and get a more flexible board

a good rule to follow when picking out a new board is it should be up to your mouth when its standing up, follow that and you should always have a board that feels right

im 5'7'' 160 lbs. i got the forum destroyer 152. it says it can go up to 180 lbs. best board i ever had for the park. its twin tip .my old board was shaun white 156. it was too stiff for me had a hard time on the rails cuz it was too long. longer the board easier it is to catch ur edges or nose or tail on. it was also a heavier board and it was harder to butter and jump. my new board i can see the difference like night and day. it so flexible that i can land it practically in any position nose , tail or off center after a jump and still land it easily. its sweet on the rails. i was able to hit rails that i couldnt hit b4 with my shaun white. oh yeah im also not that flexible but with a 152 to can do nose and tail grabs that i couldnt do with a 156. they also state that u can move the bindings closer to the back if u wanna go thru pow. although i never tried.

hi i am also 5 foot 7 the size of board i have is a 155 it's a good size for doing tricks on. if u get a longer board that would have to be something for powder boarding. a smaller board is probably good for jibbing a 154 or smaller is maybe something to use to jib i suggest u go and ask someone who sells snowboards at a snowboard shop. i think it all depends on how much u weigh .

Yes, a smaller size will help you to learn tricks more easily. You will be able to spin with less effort when learning of a smaller jump.

When you improve and step up to bigger jumps a longer board might help you to be more stable on the faster in-run to the jump.

Also, for jibbing a shorter and softer board should make learning new slides and press tricks simpler and more fun. Perhaps speak to your local shop. They should be able to help you more.

I'm the exact same height and I use a 154. It works well for tricks. I used to have a bigger board, but my brother convinced me to go smaller. I hate when he's right......
